Welcome to this site’s new domain name “Exponentially Digital“. Why the change? I’m glad you asked. The previous domain name had been in existence for twenty years (seriously!) and had morphed through many different incarnations and no longer reflected the focus which I now have. Sure I still love technology but never only for its own sake, for how and what it can do for us as mortals, how it can shape and improve our lives, how it can lead us to a better future. Yes, I’m an optimistic pessimist, sometimes 🙂 or is that a pessimistic optimist? Regardless, technology has changed significantly over those twenty years and exponentially too. As a digital native I’ve lived through an enormous array of vast technological change and know too that change is constant. This site’s front page once proclaimed that

I am the wind which breathes upon the sea
I am the wave of the ocean
I am the murmur of the billows
I am change
I am constant.

And hence the new domain and site name with its focus on the exponential nature of our new human habitat in this digital age. Our exponentially digital future beckons, will we embrace it or has it already embraced us?
